Dr. Jumawan competes for Oral Research Paper Presentation and Poster Exhibit Contest

Dr. Joycelyn Jumawan will compete her research papers in the upcoming 11th Philippine National Health Research System (PNHRS) Week Celebration on 24-25 August 2017, at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), Pasay City, Metro Manila.

Dr. Jumawan will be competing her research on “A Gastropod Survey and Geographical Distribution of Snail Vectors of Schistosomiasis in Lake Mainit, Philippines”, funded by the Caraga Health Research Consortium (CHRDC), under Oral Research Presentation Category among four other finalists. Her other research entitled “Mercury Analysis of Muscles of Select Bioindicator Fishes and Sediments in Tambis River, Barobo and the Coastal Areas of Hinatuan, Surigao del Sur, Philippines” also qualifies for the Poster Exhibit Contest and will be competed against eight paper submissions around the country.

The theme of this year’s PNHRS Week celebration is “Health Research and Innovations: Empowering and Transforming Communities” and one of the highlights is the presentation of different health researches from different consortia.
