The health research community celebrated the annual event on 6-9 August 2018 at CAP-John Hay Trade and Cultural Center, Baguio City.
Dr. Jaime C. Montoya, PNHRS Lead Coordinator and PCHRD Executive Director emphasized this year’s theme “Research and Innovation for Equity in Health”, health research community’s collective goal as a System to develop solutions in response to the needs of our health system.
CHRDC was represented by the Consortium Director – Dir. Dominga ‘Inday’ Mallonga, chairs of the different committees; Dr. Gerna M. Manatad as the Chair of the Research Management Committee, Dr. Lilia Boyles as the Chair of the Human Resource Development Committee, Mr. Tarcisio B. Candog and Dr. Reinerio M. Durano as representatives of the Ethics Review Committee, and Mr. Ricardo N. Varela as the Chair of the Research Information and Utilization Committee and Consortium Secretariat.
During the event, the participation of the consortium is crucial in the following: inter-regional oral paper presentation and poster exhibit contest (professional and student category), consortium poster presentation, management of consortium’s website, meeting of consortia chairs, heads of institutions and researchers and PNHRS fellowship night.
The Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD), in collaboration with the Cordillera Regional Health Research Development Consortium (CRHRDC) organized this year’s conference.
PNHRS 2018 serve as a platform for participants to discuss the current situation, challenges, and advancements related to improving health and equity through reinforced health research and innovation in the regions and local communities.
