The current members of the Research Management Committee (RMC) of the Caraga Health Research and Development Consortium (CHRDC) converged at the office of Department of Health (DOH) to finalize the membership of the Technical Review Board (TRB) as a requirement in the newly crafted Manual of Operations.
Headed by Dr. Cesar C. Cassion—DOH Caraga Assistant Regional Director and the current chair of the RMC, the committee agreed to create TRB with five members who shall be in charge of reviewing the technical soundness of the research proposals submitted to the Consortium.
The new TRB members are Dr. Cesar Cassion; Dr. Rowena P. Varela—Vice President for Research and Extension of the Caraga State University; Dr. Shirlene Medori T. Alegre— Graduate Studies and Research Director of Father Saturnino Urius University (FSUU); Dr. Manuel Caberte—Chief, Department of Education; and Mr. Dioscoro P. Domingo— Agusan del Sur State College of Agriculture and Technology (ASSCAT).
Meanwhile, the members will now be using the new forms provided by the Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (PCHRD) as guide during the review and evaluation of Research and Development (R&D) proposals.
The Manual of Operations was initiated by the PCHRD to help the Regional Health Research and Development Consortia (RHRDC) come up with easy evaluation for possible funding.
