The Department of Science and Technology- Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOSTPCHRD) is pleased to announce that the Call for Nominations for the 2021 Best Mentor in Health Research Award is now open.
The award aims to recognize excellence in mentorship that results in productivity of mentees in health research. The search is open to all Filipino citizen actively involved in mentoring undergraduate/graduate students or junior/early career researchers for at least 3 years. Past winners cannot be nominated. Nominations can be made by head of institutions, immediate supervisor, colleague, trainee, or student/advisee. Self-nomination is not allowed.
Winners will be chosen for each cluster (Luzon, Visayas, Mindanao and NCR) in three categories which will be based on their mentees (undergraduate students, graduate students and junior/early career researchers). They will receive a cash prize of PhP50,000 (undergraduate and graduate students categories) and PhP100,000 (junior/early career researchers category). National winners will receive a cash prize of PhP150,000 for mentors of undergraduate and graduate students and PhP200,00 for mentors of junior/early career researchers.
Nominations should be submitted to CHRDC not later than May 28, 2021 via courier addressed to DOST Caraga, or thru email at firstname.lastname@example.org.
